Christmas Day Meet up a success!

Christmas 2020 will remembered as the year we reached out to support each other – taking a bit of ‘Big Local’ wherever we go.

Big Local residents held a virtual meet up over Zoom on Christmas Day – supported by big local staff who volunteered their time. Technology was able to bring people together so they didn’t have to spend the day alone, some of whom have been in isolation for nearly 10 months. It was also a very international Christmas Day meet up; with residents from Roseworth, Sompting, Essex, Lancashire and Maryland, USA in attendance!

We are so proud to have worked with Sompting Big Local as partners in this event and we have shown that community connection has no limits – we can still be together even when we cant leave our homes.
