Garden Makeover at Roseworth Lodge Care Home

This morning The Roseworth Big Local Chair Karen and partnership member Sammie visited Roseworth Lodge to see some brilliant community action by a small group of Stockton Riverside College students.

Students recently applied for a grant to improve a community space and they chose the garden area at Roseworth Lodge. They are currently building and painting new garden furniture for residents, building bird boxes and creating a hand painted mural. This will make this space so much nicer for residents and their families after a really hard year.

The group now hopes to apply for one of our Rosebud Grants to hold a party for residents in July – so the partnership will consider this application at their next meeting.

We don’t want to ruin the surprise of their big reveal, but here are a few photos from our visit and of the work coming along!
