I am the Big Local Rep for Roseworth Big Local.  This means I link the Big Local area with Local Trust, which distributes and manages the £1m the area has been awarded.My role is to be the ‘eyes, ears and voice’ of Local Trust.  And I am here to support the Forum as it makes decisions about how to invest its money for the benefit of all the residents of Roseworth.  There are 4 Big Local Outcomes and my role is to help the Big Local area achieve them.

These Outcomes are:

• Communities will be better able to identify local needs and take action in response to them.
• People will have increased skills and confidence, so that they continue to identify and respond to needs in the future.
• The community will make a difference to the needs it prioritises.
• People will feel that their area is an even better place to live.

I am the Big Local Rep for a number of other areas.  I can share learning from this work with Roseworth and help the Forum tap into activities and support that comes from being 1 of 150 Big Local areas.

When I’m not working on Big Local I am involved in community-led housing and community theatre and can often be found climbing hills in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales
