Janet Russell
Chair
Janet Russell is the Chair of Roseworth Big Local. She has lived on Roseworth for 13 years and she shares her home with her elderly dog Bertie. She loves getting to know people in the community and getting involved with some of the activities that are going on.

Cllr Jim Beal
Jim was born and bred in Stockton, brought up on neighbouring Hardwick, and later lived in the Roseworth Ward for 27 years, bringing up his own family here. After over 30 years working in adults and children’s social care, Jim was elected as a Roseworth Councillor in 2007. Since then he has gained a wider experience of all aspects of the Council’s many functions. He has been the Deputy Leader of the Council, a Cabinet member and also the Mayor of Stockton. Jim was also (the first) Chair of Governors at Rosebrook Primary School and is also Chair of Eastern Ravens Trust, a longstanding local children’s charity which supports disadvantaged children and young people in the area, including young carers. Jim is married and enjoys any free time being a (great) grandparent, attending live music and comedy, following Middlesbrough Football Club and occasional holidays abroad.

Cllr Barbara Inman
Barbara is a retired teacher who grew up in Roseworth and has represented the ward as a councillor for 23 years. Barbara is vice chair of the children & young people select committee at Stockton Council. Barbara enjoys gardening and sport; she is a season ticket holder at Middlesbrough football club and a member of two local golf clubs.

Denise Mason
Denise is 60 years old and lives locally. Denise has been widowed for 22 years, has two daughters and a granddaughter and grandson. Denise has worked in charity based companies, including Tristar homes for 10 years. Denise has been involved with Roseworth big local since the beginning, and despite the difficulties she faces due to her disability, really enjoys her role on the partnership.

Dawn Harper
Dawn currently works for Family Action as a Volunteer & Community Engagement Practitioner, based in Roseworth but engages with communities across the whole of Stockton Borough. She was a previous Community Development Worker for Roseworth Big Local, Roseworth holds a place in her heart and she is excited to see how Big Local will enhance the area in future years.

Samantha Pitchers
Samantha was elected onto the board when she was in secondary school in 2013 and is still on the board today. She has lived on the Roseworth for 6 years, In her spare time she loves reading and watching Harry Potter. She enjoys being part of the board because it gives her the opportunity to learn new skills. She share her skills with the board – like helping organise trips/trains for events. She really loves doing diamond painting (it is just like paint by numbers but instead of the paint you put down little diamonds to make a picture).
